Bollywood megastars Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are in Toronto for The Unforgettable Tour, a live stage show which will premiere on Friday evening at the Rogers Centre.

The multi-million dollar Bollywood extravaganza features 70 songs from Indian cinema, 1000 glittering costumes and a 130-member cast and crew. It is anticipated that the tour will attract over 1-million people across six continents.

At a press conference in the Toronto Hilton this morning, reporters were greatly outnumbered by fans desperate to meet the legendary Bachchan family. Amitabh has been an icon of Indian cinema since the early 1970s and his son Abhishek is married to the stunning Aishwarya Rai. The show also stars Priety Zinta, Ritesh Deshmukh, Madhuri Dixit, Akshay Kumar and Shilpa Shetty.

Abhishek and Aishwarya, often considered the Brad and Angelina of India, told reporters that it was their wish to start the tour in Toronto because the city had a special place in their heart. Abhishek proposed to Aishwarya after the Toronto premiere of their film Guru in January 2007.

During the Q&A period, a reporter from CanIndia was booed by the crowd when he grilled Amitabh Bachchan about the show's ticket prices -- floor seats cost up to $287.50 through Ticketmaster.

"People have nicknamed The Unforgettable Tour 'The Great Unaffordable Tour. Why have you priced [tickets] so high when the show is meant for South Asians and most of the South Asians here are scrimping and scrounging?'" he asked Bachchan. "People say [it is] because you would rather listen to the rattle of jewelry than the clapping of hands to cheer you on."

"I don't price the tickets. The promoters and the organizers of the show, they price them," Bachchan explained, and quipped "If you are unable to get those tickets, come up to my room and I'll sing and dance for you.
